THAT the Kincardine Police Services Board adopt the minutes of the March 7, 2024 meeting as presented.

Whereas the Kincardine Police Services Board (KPSB) is extremely disappointed with the decision to remove the School Resource Officer (SRO); and Whereas the KPSB see value in the SRO position and believe that the removal of that resource will set back the progress that has been gained over the last decade; and Be it resolved that the KPSB recommend that the funding for the SRO should be utilized to fund projects that will advance the intent of the SRO position and focus on youth engagement; and further That the OPP be consulted regarding this engagement; and further That a copy of this resolution be sent to Council, the Bluewater District School Board, Grey-Bruce Catholic District School Board, Lisa Thompson MPP, and local Schools and the South Bruce OPP Detachment Board.
